For the sneaker industry, 2017 will be one of the most popular years of sales promotion in decades.
According to The NPD Group, a global information company, unit sales grew 2 percent, with an average price of $58.16.
Meanwhile, the market for women is growing fastest, with sales growing 5 percent from 2016. Men’s footwear was the biggest block in the market, with sales growing by 1% and the children’s market by 1%.
Nike/Brand Jordan、adidas、Skechers、Under Armour&New Balance are the best-selling brand based on U.S. dollar sales in 2017, and adidas is the fastest-growing company in the overall market, with sales growing by more than 50%.
While Nike and Brand Jordan lead the pack in the top 10, adidas has two pairs of shoes this year – Superstar and Tubular Shadow.

There are no single performance shoes in the top 10 rankings in 2017, which shows that we are in the sportswear fashion cycle.
